Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation Review

Hi everyone

Today I will reviewing Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation which was the first ever foundation I had used and it has since then been my everyday favourite. So I have been using this foundation for a good 2 years now and it really enhances my everyday look. So without further a-do lets get started with the review and my experience with this foundation:-

The product claims that their unique air-soft formula provides pore-less and satin smooth looking skin. Extraordinary coverage that does not clog pores and that it is long-lasting and will keep skin moisturized all day. I am a person with oily and acne prone skin. My T-zone becomes really oily during the summers and my skin gets dry during winters. However the foundation evens out my skin tone however hides my blemishes and acne marks to some extent as it is not a full coverage  foundation. It does not accentuate the dry patches of my skin and my skin feels smooth.  It has SPF 24 & PA++ which makes it perfect for everyday on the go makeup.

Shades available:-
- O2 Porcelain
- B3 Natural Beige
- B4 Nude Beige
- O4 Pure Beige
- B5 Nude
- Classic Ivory

This product retails for Rs. 700/- for 300 ml of the product which is great. It lasts for more than two months if used on a daily basis.

The highlighting features of this foundation are:-
- Light weight and provides satin smooth finish
- SPF 24 & PA ++
- Pump dispenser which just provides the right amount
- Travel Friendly bottle
- Does not accentuate dry patches
- Does not clog pores
- Does not look cakey
- Suitable for sensitive skin
- Oil free and fragrance free

Things which I dint like:-
- Stays only up to 3 to 4 hrs
- Not much information about the product or its contents
- Does not provide full coverage

At last I would like to conclude that this foundation is perfect for everyday use. It will hide the imperfections ( acne scars, blemishes, uneven skin tone ) to a certain extent, however it will not look overdone or cakey. The foundation is buildable and can continue to stay on for little longer if used after applying primer. So on days when I need more coverage I use a primer and then apply this. So for those who want to show up with that no-makeup makeup look, then this is gonna be your best freind !!

So this was my review on the foundation. Hope I have provided all the relevant information. If I have missed out on anything or if anyone wants to share their experience then please comment on the comment section below.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion

Hello everyone,

If you are an oily and acne prone skin person like me then I can totally understand what you are going through. We are in constant search for products which will suite our skin type and the struggle is real. Since oily skin tends to breakout really easily hence we are really careful with the ingredients as well as the brand. So there was a phase when I was really into tea tree products and that's when I landed up with The Body Shop tree skin clearing lotion from . So today I will be reviewing the same for you and let you know my views.

Starting with the packaging I found the packaging to be okay with a green leaf printed tube with a flip cap. A pump dispenser would have been impressive. It retails for Rs 995 for 50 ml of the product which is little bit on the expensive side. Talking about the contents, it contains community trade organic tea tree oil, tamanu oil and white willow bark extracts.Tea tree oil is good for oil control and reducing blemishes, Tamanu oil contains moisturizing omega fatty acids and its well known to promote new healthy cell growth and the White willow bark extract contains salicylic acid which helps to fight acne.

I had started using this cream during the winters along with the tea tree face wash and it had made my skin a little dry and flaky. I remember using makeup on top of this cream and it made the makeup sit on the dry patches of my skin. During summer this product is great as it controls oiliness. The texture is very light weight and watery with the smell of tea tree which lingers on for sometime. It feels very light on the skin, controls oil for almost 6 to 7 hours on my skin after which I can find shine on my T-zone. It has also helped reduce my blemishes to a little extent.

After using this product for 4 to 5 months I started getting breakouts, however I am really not sure whether it was because of this product or some other factors. After this I stopped using the product on a regular basis and use it mostly during the summer months and also as a makeup base.

Pros:-
- light weight
- forms a nice base for makeup
- Reduces blemishes to certain extent
- Gets absorbed into skin instantly
- Gives a soothing and cooling effect to the skin
- Packaging is travel friendly

Cons:-
- Cannot be used instead of moisturizer, did not feel good during winters
- The smell is very strong of that of tea tree oil and lingers on for quite sometime
- Does not work much on acne

I would definitely repurchase the product preferably during the summers. If anyone has some other experience with the product do let me know in the comment section below.

The Face Shop White Seed Blanclouding White Moisture Cream

Hi friends....

I have been hearing lot many good things about Face shop products now a days and so Today I will be reviewing one of their products which is the 'White Seed Blanclouding White Moisture Cream'. It has been a month since I have been trying this and I have some mixed opinions about this product. Before going ahead I would like to clarify that I am not someone who is obsessed with becoming fair. This is surely a whitening cream however I got this to tackle my uneven skin tone and acne scars. So continue reading to know more about this beauty.

It is mentioned in the packaging that this is a moisturising cream that hydrates skin inside and out, with a gradual brightening effect. This moisturising cream is made using cloud processing which is a method inspired by the actual formation of clouds. Due to this method the cream has a white elastic texture. It contains the 'white seed complex' which is a compound of brightening ingredients like white lupin seed which contains a natural brightening substance and white daisy flower extract which helps reduce dullness and these two together make skin look bright and clear. Moreover this product is formulated without the seven additives and those are parabens, tar colorant, animal-sourced ingredients, mineral oil, talc, polyacrylamide and paraffin.

The product retails for Rs. 2190 /- for 50 ml of the product.

The product comes packaged in a grey coloured paper cover and inside it is a white jar with a silver cap. I am very much impressed with the packaging because face shop has taken the pain to include a spatula in it and so you need not dip your fingers into the actual product and have the fear of contaminating it. For me this is a thumbs up !! The jar however is quite bulky and it is not travel friendly according to me.

The product also has a lid beneath the cap which is also very good.

So as I already mentioned I have been using this product for a month now and so I feel this is the right time that I can provide you with a candid review. The product when you see is a beautiful jelly like cream which has a elastic texture. I first dot it on my entire face and then apply it all over. The moment I smear it on my face it looks as if I am applying a transparent gel on face. The product sits on for a few mins and then gets absorbed into the skin. The instant feeling is like I have fed my skin with a lot of water and my skin feels smooth and looks healthy.

I used to apply it two times a day ones in the morning and then at night before sleeping however after a few days of application I noticed some small bumps on my face. I kept ignoring it thinking it to be due to some other reason and continued to use the cream. I then stopped applying it during the day and only used it as a night cream.  During the time I was using this cream my skin texture had improved, it was more even toned, however I stopped using it as I kept on getting small zits and pimples. Now I use it only sometimes when my skin feels the need of good hydration(in intervals of 2 - 3 days). This product has worked in brightening and improving my skin tone, has improved my skin texture however it has caused breakouts as well !!

This is a gel cream and is non greasy and so oily skin people like me can surely try it however don't apply it too frequently. For dry skin people its going to become your best friend as you will have that healthy glow to your skin without looking or feeling greasy. However I would not recommend it to people with acne prone skin like mine.

So summing everything up:

The pros of the product-

- lightweight
- instantly brightens up the face
- non greasy
- instantly hydrates the skin and makes it supple
- works well to tackle uneven skin tone and blemishes
- comes without the seven additives which is totally a game changer in the skin care revolution

Cons of the product:

- Caused breakouts

Rating : 3/5
